The smallest rod is 10 cm long, the longest is 1 meter long. The 10 bars are alternately red and blue. By placing the bars on the table or on the floor, children recognize the differences in sizes. The length of the bars gives them the value of the numbers from 1-10. By counting the colored segments from 1-10, the child practices recognition of numbers, digits and spatial location.
