Why are babies already interested in their own reflection? A newborn does not yet react to its reflection in the mirror, but from the second month of life the mirror is already perceived as an object. From the third month onwards, the baby focuses intensively on its reflection and explores the connections between its own activities and the image in the mirror. These observations require a lot of attention from the child in order to develop concentration. Since the child has not yet fully understood the function of a mirror cognitively, it generally wants to spend a lot of time and ”think”. At this stage, parents or teachers can specifically encourage the child’s interest, for example by naming parts of their own face, the baby’s face and the mirror image. The child’s self-perception and identity are also developed and strengthened during this phase through dealing with the reflected image. By playing with the mirror image, the baby can also train his visual senses and further develop his own body perception.
By placing objects on the tray, the toddler can study the optical laws of reflection for the first time. This in turn allows him to expand his imagination into the 3rd dimension.
The mirror tray is sturdy, easy to use and can be placed anywhere, lifted or hung on the wall. The mirror tray is a small but essential part of the Montessori children’s room.

It’s your baby’s first chair!
The child from 1 to 3 years old has different motor skills and height from the child 3 to 6 years old. As a result, the child (1-3 years old) needs his own chair. It’s like an adult sitting in a bar stool. Imagine how difficult it is for a small child, who is now trying to coordinate his movements, to adjust to a table that is out of his control.
Kids love these little pieces of furniture that fit their size. At the same time, they are light so that they can move them by themselves.
Seat height: 17 cm
Weight: 1.5 kg
It has ergonomic armrests with rounded edges.
The armrests are ideal for very young children who have not yet stabilized their movement perfectly. This helps to the body support. Also, they enhance the child’s concentration in front of the table. As a result, the left-right movement is restricted and the child directs all his energy to the activity.
Below you can read in detail the possibilities offered by the chair in combination with the appropriate table which you can buy separately or as a set.
