Newborn babies’ eyesight is not yet developed. They can only see high-contrast colors such as black and white. The first shape they can see is the sphere.

Munari mobile is made of black and white geometric shapes in a two-dimensional cardboard and has a transparent sphere.

The mobiles should be hung approximately 30 cm from the baby’s face. This distance is close enough to allow the newborn’s developing eyes to focus on the mobile while providing enough room for the baby to swing their arms under the mobile without risk to safety.

Visual objects in Munari mobile are hung on different colored sticks at different distances. Different distances help baby’s visual development while focusing from one object to another.
